WME has a strong tradition of providing coaching and mentoring services and manages the flagship West Midlands Coaching and Mentoring Pool.
We have a range of associates who are qualified executive coaches and or experienced mentors who can offer tailored approaches to individual development needs.
In addition to this we also work with organsiations to help them develop their coaching and mentoring cultures providing training, ongoing development and supervision for those trained in coaching and mentoring skills.
Abby is an experienced Learning & Organisational Development Professional, specialising in coaching, facilitation of leadership and management workshops, as well as team away days and organisational development projects. She has spent over 15 years in the NHS, including several years at a Senior Level, and has been running her own Learning & Development business since 2015.
Abby is passionate about enabling individuals, teams and organisations to learn, develop, achieve their goals and maximise their potential. She is highly skilled and creative in her approach to designing and delivering training programmes and workshops that fully engage learners, and has a track record of delivering high quality interventions for her clients and workshops that are consistently well received by participants.
Wide ranging Director level experience in local, regional and national government and an extensive track record of success. Experience includes:
– As a Strategic Director of both corporate and front line services at Telford & Wrekin Council
– Leading major reviews in the Prime Ministers Delivery Unit in the Cabinet Office/Treasury;
– As Managing Director of Improvement and Efficiency West Midlands for 5 years, creating a strong and durable regional partnership supporting public bodies to modernise.
Andy’s particular strengths lie in corporate management and leadership, the ability to develop clear strategies and plans, ensuring that organisations have strong performance frameworks and a constant focus on improvement, and in building political and stakeholder support for these.
He has successfully led major programmes of change and improvement in varied organisations at different levels of government. For example, Improvement and Efficiency West Midlands was widely perceived as the most effective regional improvement partnership in England.
Andy’s interests lie very much in the area of personal development and growth. I am an ILM Level 7 qualified coach and mentor, and have successfully worked with a wide range of managers in the recent past.
Has been undertaking coaching assignments for more than ten years. When he first started to work as a coach he was a Senior Manager, Head of Regeneration, for Coventry City Council. For the last four years Carl has had his own coaching business, Co-Operations Coaching. As well as being a successful coach he is also a coach Supervisor for the West Midlands Coaching Pool.
Carl has worked with CEO’s, Senior Managers, and practitioners, mostly from local government, and education but also from the health care and voluntary sector.

After 30 years in local government Fiona decided to step outside and run her own business, 3F Consulting (www.3fconsulting.co.uk). She supports people to be more engaged at work, which is delivered through motivational training and one to one coaching, and helps organisations to communicate what they do through creative and down to earth messaging. Fiona loves facilitating away days and conferences – “I’m often brought in to keep events pacey, yet productive”. She been successful in coaching people into new senior leadership positions too.
Fiona is a facilitator for Fresh Air Fridays (www.freshairfridays.co.uk) which she intends to bring to local government as it’s very practical wellbeing support involving “taking you outside so you feel good on the inside”, in short it’s coaching in the open air in small groups, often on a Friday!
Her last role was on the shared management team of Wychavon and Malvern Hills Councils where she managed all the corporate wide services from strategy, performance and communications to member services, elections and customer services.

An astute, goal-orientated, performance driven portfolio HR, OD and L&D professional who helps people and places to improve, with extensive experience leading and directing HR & OD and other strategic and operational management functions, freelance work and running a successful self employed consulting business. Enterprising, communicative and people focused, able to forge excellent relationships across organisational boundaries with all stakeholders, develop and influence teams to achieve business objectives. An inspiring and entertaining keynote speaker and trainer on a range of leadership and HR issues.
With over 25 years’ experience in development, management and senior management positions across the public and third sectors. Gayle’s career has been spent across education, community development, and health and social care. She has been a senior manager at the Open University, worked for the social care regulator in Wales, a local council, and has also established and run a successful children’s charity. Her qualifications include an MBA, Coaching Certificate, NLP Master Practitioner and APM project management. She is also an experienced Action Learning Set facilitator and spent 8 years as a member of the Open University’s Internal Coaching Network, coaching managers and teams across the University.

Gayle offers a range of services from strategic planning and project management support to engagement with stakeholders, and individual and team development through coaching and action learning.
Jane is a professionally qualified Career Coach, with more than 30 years’ experience of advising and supporting clients of all ages.
After working in local government for 19 years, Jane moved into the private sector and then set up her own coaching, training and research company in 2002. Since 2014, Jane has been employed as a university lecturer (part-time) specialising in the design and delivery of mentoring and coaching programmes and workshops.
Jane has coached more than 600 clients in the past 3 years, and discussions have focused upon a range of topics including: career planning; moving from the public to the private sector; self employment; portfolio working; personal branding; CV writing; interview and presentation skills; application forms; building an effective LinkedIn profile; plus other factors linked to their desire and/or need to seek a new role.
Experienced Coaching and Training professional who spent 18 years as a Manager in the Public, Private and Charity sectors, specialising in the provision of Executive Coaching, Coach Skills Training and Coach Mentoring Supervision.
Julia started her career in Retail operations for Lewis’s Ltd, Littlewoods and Mackays where she learned about the challenges of people management at an early age. After discovering her passion for people development she became a trainer at Help the Aged. This gave her real insight to working under tight budgets and being creative with very little resource. A stint as UK Training Manager for Dedicated Micros, (CCTV and video surveillance equipment) was a leap into the field of a fast moving technology market.
Julia was also the first female Head of Training at Greater Manchester Magistrates Courts responsible for up skilling staff and driving culture change. With this eclectic background and as an Accredited Professional Executive Coach of 15 years standing plus 1500 hours of experience, Julia has worked with all levels of managers in the private, public and third sectors.
Julia worked as a Learning and Development Manager and coach for Waitrose Limited for 15 years before setting up my own company as a coach and trainer in 2013. Since then I have worked with a variety of individuals, leaders and teams from both private and public sector companies and relish the opportunity to add value and improve business results through working with people.
Julia has a passion for learning and am qualified in both Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Transactional Analysis (TA), both of which is used practically and extensively within her coaching practice. Liz is a a trainer, facilitator and coach specialising in coaching, management development, interpersonal skills and trainer training.

Louis is a highly successful business professional with over 25 years of operational experience in both the public and private sector. He led a number of diverse business units and was Director of Client Services, for a global contract delivery operation, providing business solutions for multi-national blue-chip companies and government departments.
He specialises in leadership development and transformation programmes, delivering behavioural and cultural change across organisations. An experienced workshop leader, facilitator and coach, focusing on delivery of leadership training and development, with emphasis on change management, effective conversations skills and performance improvement.
He is a professionally qualified leadership coach accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) with over 12 years’ experience of coaching with a diverse range of clients from board members to graduates, high potential managers to apprentices.
Has worked as a professional coach and mentor for over 20 years and her career has always centred on her commitment to developing others. Nichola started her people development consultancy business in 2008, after a successful 20 year career in the public sector. She has have worked in a variety of roles including business consultancy and organisational development.
Nichola has significant experience of organisational culture, systems and processes and has worked with coaching clients across a broad spectrum of professions including a Strategic Housing Development Manager, Director of HR and Transformation, Charity Chief Executive, Director of Legal Services, Public Health Medical Consultant and Police Sergeant.
Qualifications include an MSc in People & Organisational Development and ILM (Level 7) Executive Coaching and Mentoring Diploma. Nichola is a registered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Member of the Association for Coaching. She is also a qualified practitioner in a range of psychometric tools, including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strengths Deployment Inventory (SDI) Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Everything DiSC, Belbin Team Roles, MiRo and GC Index.

He has a strong strategic focus, a keen focus on performance management and a commitment to the role of HR in improving front line services.
Currently running his own successful consultancy business, his particular areas of specialism include change management, strategic employee relations, HR policy development & training, disciplinary & grievance investigations, absence management, management coaching and the provision of services to support leadership development and staff engagement.
After spending a significant amount of time working in the public sector (NHS and Local Government). Sara started her own business, Resilience & Brilliance Ltd. Sara specialises in mental well-being and performance in the workplace offering consultancy, workshops, executive coaching and mediation. Having had a range of public and private sector clients and recently spending 2 years working on contract with National Grid, she finds her work a joy.
Sara am also passionate about women’s development and sometimes run workshops and retreats for women. Incidentally, Sara often attracts female coaching clients.
Sara is an experienced executive and personal coach, a coach supervisor facilitator and runs a local CIPD Branch coaching group. She also runs courses for managers in coaching and mentoring skills.
Sara has supported managers at all levels, including senior leaders and CEOs. More recently she has been coaching senior managers who are dealing with adversity and/or burnout.
Sally is Fellow of the CIPD, an award-winning leadership and organisational development professional, executive coach and speaker. She achieves exceptional results through a systemic and creative approach rooted in collaboration and co-creation.
She has extensive leadership experience gained in CEO, Director, NED and other senior leadership roles in public and civil services, including Local Government, Police, Fire, NHS and HM Treasury, as well as third sector and commercial environments. She now has her own coaching and consultancy business, is a trustee for an international stress charity and volunteer regional co-ordinator for an international equalities charity.
Sally provides a range of strategic leadership and organisational development advice and services. This includes leading and supporting culture and behavioural change programmes and organisational and individual resilience building. She also carries out independent reviews of HR and Learning functions leads and supports specific OD projects and facilitates leadership and management team events, as well as delivering workshops, coaching and talks related to:

A CIPD qualified learning and development professional, dedicated to achieving results through the development of people. A skilled coach and facilitator, responsible for the successful design, delivery and evaluation of strategic and cultural change programmes.
In Jan 2006 set up own company Next Steps Learning & Development Ltd. In 2008 became an ILM Approved Centre to deliver and assess ILM qualifications. Re-approval achieved in 2016. Sean has completed the ILM Level 7 Diploma in Leadership Coaching and Mentoring.
Throughout Shelley’s career, and working in roles in both the private and public sector, she has worked with groups, teams and individuals as a Learning and Development Consultant. Her coaching practice has focused on managing transition and change and the complex world of managing working partnerships and business relationships within environments of Leadership and Management.
Shelley is a licensed practitioner for selected diagnostic tools and seeks to develop greater self awareness and support for managers and leaders both in terms of confidence and competence. Sara strongly believes that quality 1-1 conversations can make a real, positive difference and impact not only on the individual but also the team and the organisation.
Sue has over 30 years’ local government experience, the last 12 of which were in corporate organisational development at management level in a unitary council. She is an experienced coach working predominately within the public sector.
Sue specialisms are leadership and management development, learning & development and organisational development. Her particular area of interest is around team management and development and the “soft skills” of people management.
Her coaching is style is empathetic, relaxed and informal which enhances an open and honest exchange of the difficulties and frustrations faced by managers.
